Health Care Management Baccalaureate Program Curriculum
The B.S. degree program is a 120-credit hour course of study designed to be completed in four years. The professional curriculum includes an in-depth study of topics such as the health care system, financial management, organizational behavior and management practice, strategic health planning, health policy, quality management and critical health issues.
Internship Experience
An essential component of the academic experience is a thirteen 13-week field practicum. The administrative internship serves as a "bridge" between concepts, theories and practice. It integrates course work with a supervised practicum experience and allows the student to explore an area of special interest. Criminal background check clearance is required for internship placement.
Mission
The mission of the undergraduate Health Care Management Program is to prepare underrepresented students for entry-level positions in the healthcare industry through a market-relevant health care management education.

The vision of the Health Care Management Program is to be the premier academic program for undergraduate healthcare management education that produces advocates and decision-makers for improving quality and access to care. Additionally, the Program will be recognized nationally and globally for excellence in teaching, research, and service.
